Chelsea are keen to fully finalise Romelu Lukaku’s return to Inter so they can focus on signing Everton forward Richarlison.
The Blues have been in talks with the Nerazzurri regarding a possible loan deal for a while now and an agreement has been all but reached, with reports suggesting that the Belgian striker will be in Italy next week to take his medicals in Milan. The €115m move ultimately did not pay off for Chelsea but regardless they need to bolster their attack to replace Lukaku.
As reported by various English media outlets including the Daily Mail and the Daily Express, Richarlison currently tops Chelsea’s list of Lukaku replacements and senior stars in the playing squad are reportedly pushing for the 25-year-old Brazilian forward.
The Blues are hoping to include young talents Conor Gallagher and Billy Gilmour to lower the overall costs of a deal, but first they want Lukaku’s return to Inter to be fully completed.
