Chelsea are arguably short of defensive options with boss Thomas Tuchel keen on adding another centreback to his backline pack having already signed Raheem Sterling and Senegalese centreback Kolidou Koulibaly.
The Blues have Thiago Silva, Cesar Azpilicueta and Malang Sarr and therefore keen on bolistering their backline in an attempt to have a wide range of selection.
Apparently the Blues have been relatively quiet in the transfer window following Barcelona’s moves to hijack Jules Kounde and Raphinha.
However according to Express Sport, Chelsea are set to make a move for Rb Leipzig’s defender Josko Gvardiol after an urgent phone call from Thomas Tuchel as it’s believed that Tuchel really wants him as fast as possible.
The Germany club is allegedly asking for £75m, an amount that Todd Boehly isn’t willing to offer having as well interested in hijacking Marc Cucurella from City.
Meanwhile, the premier league will b back in action in the next 4 days with Chelsea keen on extending their good form in 2022/23 season.
